The country that suits you depends on whose hours you need covered. We explain how to choose below.

The work

What our customer support teams handle.

Customer service, call centre, contact centre, helpdesk. Different words for the same problem: more questions arriving than your own people can answer.

Customer support and customer service

Email, live chat and ticket queues answered inside your working day, in Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, HubSpot or whatever you already run.

Call centre and contact centre agents

Inbound calls handled by people who sound like the market you serve, plus the outbound follow-up that is part of the service. Individual agents and small teams, not rented seats in someone else's centre.

Helpdesk and first-line technical support

Ticket triage, troubleshooting against your runbook, and clean escalation to your own engineers when it genuinely needs them.

Order, booking and account support

Order chasing, refunds, reservations, account changes and the small administrative work that quietly fills a support queue.

Out-of-hours and weekend cover

A queue that builds up overnight is the easiest thing to hand over. Agents in a different time zone clear it before you start work.

Support team leads

Once you have three or four people, someone to run the queue, the rota and the quality checks, so that you do not have to.

Choosing a country

Which country for customer support?

For support work the deciding factor is almost always whose hours you need covered, and whether the job is phone-heavy. All three countries work; they suit different clocks.

South Africa
Native English, UK and European hours

An English-first business culture, one to two hours ahead of the UK. The usual answer for phone and live chat work, because the accent is familiar and nobody has to work nights to cover your day.

The Philippines
US and Australian hours, strong service culture

A large, experienced Filipino support workforce with clear, neutral English and years of practice with US and Australian customers. Night shifts are normal and well paid here, so genuine overnight cover is realistic.

Myanmar
Singapore hours, skilled and loyal

University-educated professionals in the same working day as Singapore and Hong Kong, at our best value. Fewer companies hire here, so you reach people who would be taken quickly in a busier market, and they stay far longer once they join you.

Be honest with yourself

What outsourced support does well, and what it does not.

Works well

Right for an outsourced team

Repeating questions that have a correct answer
Queues that build up outside your hours
Work that follows a documented process
Ongoing volume, not one busy fortnight
Keep it in house

Still needs your own people

Angry escalations involving refunds or legal risk
Anything needing authority to make an exception
Writing the policy your support team follows
The relationships with your largest accounts

The outsourced support teams that work handle the first eighty percent and escalate the rest cleanly. The ones that struggle were asked to make judgement calls nobody had written down.

Questions

Outsourcing customer support: your questions answered.

South Africa. It is an English-first business culture, so for phone and live chat, where the customer hears every word, it is our usual recommendation. The Philippines is fluent and neutral and handles US and Australian customers well. Myanmar is better suited to email and chat than to heavy phone work, and we will tell you that rather than sell you the wrong country.
Two reasons. The Philippines has handled outsourced support for American and Australian companies for decades, so the experience is already in the market rather than something you have to build. And Filipino English is clear and neutral, with a service culture that handles difficult customers calmly. For UK and European hours we would still point you at South Africa, but for US, Australian or overnight cover, a Filipino support team is usually the right answer.
Yes, and it is the easiest thing to hand over. Pick a country whose normal working day falls in your quiet hours and the queue is cleared before you log on. For true overnight cover the Philippines is the practical choice, because night shifts are normal and properly paid there.
Yes. We test for the exact system you use, whether that is Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, HubSpot or something less common, before anyone starts with you. Tell us the stack and we work to it.
No. You get named people who work only for you, as part of your team, using your systems and your tone of voice. We handle the employment and the admin; we do not rent you shared seats or split an agent across several clients.
No. On an employer of record arrangement the employment is arranged locally through our partner. You direct the daily work and receive one invoice from us in USD.
One is fine. Most clients start with a single support agent and add more once the first has proved the idea works for them.
A one-time setup fee, a monthly Linkers fee and your team member's salary. South Africa costs the most; Myanmar is our best value. Build an estimate on our pricing page and we will confirm the exact figure in writing.
We assign a different team member free of charge within the first three months, and we help with the handover so your queue does not suffer.

Tell us what your support queue looks like.

The volume, the hours you need covered and the software you use. We will come back with a straight answer on which country suits it and what it costs.
