Hi everyone, nice to meet you. I'm Chloe. I'm one of the directors of Linkers Agency. Started from 2025, we have officially introduced a new South African talent pipeline, expanding our network beyond Myanmar. A lot of clients ask me what are the differences between South African talent and Myanmar talent? What are the salary differences? So, in this video, I'm going to break it down for you so that you can decide which channel works best for you. First, let's talk about language. South Africans are native English speakers, so communication in English comes naturally to them. This is great for roles that require high-level client interaction or content creation, like sales consultants, account managers, or customer support roles. And here is the best part — you are gaining highly skilled, fluent English-speaking professionals at a far more competitive rate than hiring from the US or the UK. South African talent brings the same level of professionalism and adaptability, making them a smart, cost-effective choice for your team. That said, Myanmar talent can also communicate well in English. I'm from Myanmar — English isn't our first language, but I know many Myanmar professionals who are nearly fluent. South African talent is often more exposed to different CRM platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, Asana, etc. This is because many of them work remotely for US or UK companies where these tools are commonly used. Myanmar talent, on the other hand, may have less experience with these platforms simply because most companies in Myanmar don’t use them widely. But don’t worry — with the right training, they can adapt quickly and use any tools effectively. Time zones can be an important factor when hiring remotely. For companies in Singapore, South Korea, Australia, or Thailand, the Myanmar time zone is well aligned. But if your company is in the UK, the US, or Canada, South African talent might be a better fit. However, some professionals from both regions are flexible with their working hours, so time zones shouldn’t be an issue. When it comes to cost, both Myanmar and South African professionals offer great value. For entry-level roles, the salary gap between the two talent pools is usually around $200. But for senior roles, South African salaries tend to be higher due to differences in living costs and market rates. That said, both South African and Myanmar professionals bring great professionalism and efficiency to the table. So no matter which talent you choose, you’re getting a skilled, dedicated employee. So, which country’s talent should you hire? That depends on your needs. If you need native English fluency and experience with international CRM tools, South African talent might be a better fit. But if you’re looking for more cost-effective professionals who can adapt and grow with the right training, Myanmar talent is an excellent choice.
